Great ingredients for an ambitious plan, a bloody big trip on a small Honda Cub.
Im going to try to ride my Honda Cub from The Netherlands to Australia on the 2nd of august 2019.

You probably think, Why would you do that?
Well...... why not?
Rather going with a plane, as quick as possible, I go with my slow Honda Cub
Taking my time, de-stress and meet different people from different country's and cultures.

The wapon of choice, the Honda Cub;
In general people use big bikes for trips like this. But thats exactly the point, I don't want that, on a Cub you go slow wich means that you have heaps of time to look around and explore what the world and people has got to offer.

The route is set, kind of, not really. I know roughly wich direction im going but every day I could change my mind and go left or right.
As long it is towards down under Australia.
I don't have a agenda telling me that I have to do 400 K's a day. I really don't want to stress myself and the little bike.
Its not going to be a race agains the clock.
How im gonna do the thousends of k's in less than 5 months? Thats the challenge, I don,t know and we will see...
If I don't make it in 5 months? Well.... thats it, I dont make it, no regrets.
One thing is for sure, I have to be in Australia half december.
Thats the priod that Im catching up with my family and friends and have holidays together in beautifull Queensland, Australia. On more thing, I opened this Instagram account not for the likes and to show how good I am. No, I opened this account to share my experiences with you and to show how beautiful the world is on a simple Honda Cub "motorbike".

Voor zover ik weet zijn er zoveel Cups en klonen gemaakt dat iedereen op de wereld er wel eens op gezeten kan hebben. Getest als meest "niet te vernietigen" voertuig dat er ooit gemaakt is. De chineesche klonen zijn wat minder onvernietigbaar die vallen vaak vanzelf uit elkaar .. Succes, gaat lukken. reserve Olie en een ketting mee .

Rob heeft mij een paar maanden geleden nog gebeld en zijn plannen verteld. Wat een avontuur!

Ik heb hetzelfde type Honda, de originele dus geen kloon, simpelweg onverwoestbaar!

Heel veel suc6 ben benieuwd naar je belevenissen Rob.

dit was geen CUP, maar een C310, de nederlands/ belgische versie met trappers en handschakeling NIET te vergelijken met de CUP en wel degelijk verwoestbaar want deze types hadden geen oliepomp maar een olie "worm" die het nogal gauw liet afweten wat nokken problemen gaf en verder werd de krukas niet positief ( met oliedruk vanuit de pomp) gesmeerd maar moest het hebben van een olie lepelaar die maar moest zien waar hij zijn olie vandaan haalde ( de CUP was eerder, geen idee waarom ze daar de techniek niet van geleend hebben)

Haha zal kloppen Joan. We hebben allebei een honda 4-takt brommer in elk geval.
En alles is kapot te krijgen maar een Honda kost toch moeite
